Project Life Journal Cards

While doing my traditional Pinterst surfing, I came across a pin from
www.journalofcuriousthings.co.uk/2013/01/journaling-card-tutorial.html and I felt reminicent of my older scrapbooking and new I had to give these a try. I didnt realize how much I missed the black marker bordering!

For those I used various grid designed papers from different lines, PL journal cards, Martha Stewart, Stampin Up! and Ali Edwards punches, various paper scraps I have, and washis.
For this next set they are just a bunch of cards I made from ideas seen on sites I follow, such as http://niebuhrchicks.blogspot.com/
http://michellewooderson.blogspot.com/ or other Pinterst sites.

For these cards I used washi, Studio Calico wood veneer stars, MME brad, Martha Stewart and Stampin Up! punches, Martha Steward doily, Thickers alpha, PL grid cards, various grid papers, and October Afternoon label and butterfly.

Project Life Week 3

Today I am covering week 3 of Project Life. It includes some fun things like reading with Hannah, goodies in the mail, a new challenge, Hannah's spelling bee, a 50th birthday party and some very goofy girls!

For this week I mostly used Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic. I had the sticker sheets as well as the alphas. I also used alpha's from October Afternoon, Lily Bee,Thickers, and Basic Grey. I used a tag and index card from Staples, a few different kinds of washi, all purchased from www.twopeasinabucket.com . I also used a billing envelope (black and white criss crossed)I cut up as a journal card.

I had 2 inserts for this week, an 8 1/2x11 insert for Hannah's letter she recieved for the spelling bee, her study word list and her certificate, and the birthday party Steve and I went to. I will only show the party insert.

I may backtrack over the next few days and show you some of my favorites from 2012. I do have 3 albums worth to pick from! I will probably need that many again this year. We also took a trip to Disney that I broke down and decide to add to a "Vacation" binder. Too much for my regular album, but necessary to document. I will show you when I have more progress on that front!

A Fresh Start

It's a new year, and I am preparing to start my second year of Project Life. If anyone is interested in, or wants more information on Project Life, head on over to www.beckyhiggings.com and check it out. About 1/2 way thru my first year I started seeing on blogs that people were behind, or that they gave up, and I started to worry. But thanks to my partner in crime www.myproofoflifeblog.blogspot.com we completed our first year, and are jumping in full barrel into year 2. So, here is my craft room freshly cleaned and ready to go, phewww!

Latest Creation

Over the Christmas bread I got one of my all time favorite emails from
www.ana-white.com She had a post for making an American Girl horse stable. I knew as soon as I saw it, it was a project the hubby and I would tackle! I'm not quite ready to tackle such projects on my own yet! It turned out great, and in the end Hannah helped me stain it.
