Take from your Stash Tuesday

Good morning all! This is the first in the weekly "Take from your Stash Tuesday" series. Im sure Im not alone when I say that I have ALOT of supplies, but it doesnt stop me from hitting the "purchase" button at Scrapbook.com or adding more to my my many kit clubs, Hip Kit ClubScraptastic, The Scrappery or Citrus Twist! So after watching a few youtube videos from Adele of Inkie Quill, I knew I needed to impliment something similar of my own. Her consists of 5 items from your stash, I just decided I would pull as many as I wanted to use from my stash, not my brandie new kits, or fresh purchases!

As you can see I chose Amy Tan fabric stickers, Pink Fresh foam words (yes they are fairly new, but I ended up with 2 sets), a piece of  Summer Sun patterned paper from Fancy Pants, some old Martha Stewart felt numbers, a tag sheet I got from the Freckled Fawn grab bag sale, a teal doily, and because they were the only 2 things from the collection, the Summer Sun paper pieces. When I opened the paper pieces and saw the little square cards, I knew what I  had to do! I am a sucker for a grid pattern. I also ended up adding some October Afternoon alphas, some enamel dots, and of course some Mr Heuy's color mist. Im really happy with how it turned out, very bright and cheery. It fit the mood of the picture perfectly, a beautiful sunny day in SC. (We spent 7 days there, so there will be many pics scrapped from that week!)

So that wraps up my first Tuesday post. I'd love to hear what you think. Anything you'd like to see me use, I probably have it or something very similar! Thanks for stopping by. Check back tomorrow for Weekly Layout Wednesday.

Project Life Week 15

Hello all, I'm here with week 15 today. Its a pretty straight forward week, 1 insert that holds my daughters Bird Migration report. For this week I used Hey Girl! from Basic Grey. Its one of their Joanne exclusives.

I also purchased the Hello page flags, journal die cuts and die cut shapes. I added some Studio Calico veneer starts, a Martha Stewart doily,  a Studio Calico arrow, some Stampin Up! pennant punches, Thickers, Oh Snap!, Making Memories and Basic Grey alphas, Project Life journal cards and title card.

Yes, I have just discovered Downton Abbey for myself. Sad but true! I love it. I watched all 3 seasons in 3 days! I have since gotten some books on Downton Abbey as well as others related to it.
I can not wait until Nov for season 4. My journaling about my new obsession is inside the journal card.

That's it, hope you enjoyed it, thanks for taking a look. Week 16 is just about done. I need to print some events pics and it will be complete.

Project Life Week 10

Hello everyone! As some of you may know, I mentioned I needed to skip week 10 because I needed pics from someone else. I decided to show the week and the front of the insert and not worry about the back of the insert. For this week I used Pebbles Walnut Grove collection. I loved working with this line, the colors were so vibrant!

As always you will find some form of Thickers in my layouts, as well as an October Afternoon label or two. I also used the label paper from October Afternoons Farm Girl line, Martha Stewart labels, an arrow sticker and veneer stars from Studio Calico and Tiny Tim. I also purchased the sticker sheet and washi sheet to go with the Walnut Grove line. I also used some journal cards from a Pebbles journal stack.

Here are a couple close ups.

This is the front side to the insert, the back is still waiting for pics.

Enjoy, I am almost done with week 12, will post soon. Its a big week, lots of inserts for the Hello Dolly play my daughter was in. Come back again.

Project Life Week 11

Hello all! I'm back with another week of Project Life in the books. I am skipping week 10 for now, I'm waiting on a couple pics to finish. I will post it as soon as it is complete. I just finished week 11, so that I will show instead. For week 11, I used greens for St Patty's Day. I love how it turned out. The papers I used were just a clearance Basic Grey set from AC Moore called Origins. It worked out that even my "Pi Day" shirt (that I forgot to wear) was green.

For this week I used a mixture of the Origins line, as well as anything else green I could come across! Green labels from October Afternoon and Martha Stewart, green tags from Chic Tags, green washi, one of which is October Afternoon, a small green baggie, green alpha from Thickers, a green 4x6 card from my new Studio Calico Project Life kit, you get the point! I also used some non-green items, like alphas from Lily Bee, Jillibean Soup, and Basic Grey.

I had one two inserts this week. One is of St. Patty's Day, and the second is a paper from Hannah's school, that I wont show. I included the tags from the silly hats and necklaces I got the kids, the front of our napkin, and the grocery receipt.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed what you saw and got some ideas.

Project Life Week 9

I am so in love with the Pebbles lines! This week I used Seen and Noted. I love how it all turned out! I'm getting alittle nervous though, I need to get the rest of March and all of Arpil in the first album if I have any hope of keeping it to 3 again this year. I realistically can not get it to 2. It would be nice, but I am not willing to cut back any more to get it that way. I only had 1 insert for this week, and it was my daughter final play schedule, so I wont bother showing it.

It was a mixed week, my daughter and her boyfriend celebrated their 1 year anniversary, and Steve and I lost a long time friend suddenly. Mostly the overall week was pretty blah, the girls and I tried to keep Steve busy. Like I said, I used Pebbles Seen and Noted line this week. I had the paper, the sticker sheet, the journal cards, and the prompt cards for it, I also used some Elle's Studio tags, Martha Stewart label stickers, a Project Life title card, Fancy Pants, Making Memories, Basic Grey and Oh Snap! alphas, I cut a label from the October Afternoon Farm Girl paper, and of course used my Tiny Tim stapler!

Here are some close ups of some journal cards.

I have most of my week 10 done, waiting on some pictures for the insert and a couple others, and I am completely done with week 11. I may end up posting them out of order. Thanks for taking a look and for your comments, its nice to hear

Project Life Week 7

This was a fun week! Valentine's Day week. As per my dear friends suggestion, I am keeping track of my michievous kitty Chance. If I had started from his arrival into our home his numbers would be extremely higher! December alone would have put him over the top!. Other than Valentine's Day itself there was not alot going on, just everyday stuff. That's what I love about Project Life, I would have never made a scrapbook page about my excitement in seeing my daffodils starting to pop up, but now I can share things like this. For this weeks spread I used "Fourteen" by Crate Paper. I also have 2 inserts to share this week.

I used mostly "fourteen" for this spread, I was ecen able to use the back side of the cut up card sheet for journaling since it had the grid design on the back. I included things like label stickers from Jillibean Soup and Martha Stewart, journal cards from Project Life Clementine kit, tags from Elle's Studio, alphas from October Afternoon and Basic Grey, tabs and stickers from October Afternoon and Basic Grey. My friend made me a beautiful 3x4 card that I added a vellum arrow to so it pointed to the hubby and I, which was from the "true love" line by Basic Grey. The heart sticker came in my Studio Calico kit.

The inserts are just of Valentine's Day. I found the straws with lips in the dollar bin at Target and had to have them, so fun! And Steve even participated in our picture silliness. I used Design J, and Design C cut in half. Sorry the pics are dark. Its dark and rainy here, but I wanted to get them posted. I will be featured in www.michellebostinelos.com/blog blog hop on Saturday so check it out. Maybe I can even get another week finished to post by then.

Project Life Work Area Part 2

So Im back with part to of my room. Like I said, I wont show the whole room, its still in "stamp mode" and needs an overhaul! But here are more pictures and descriptions.

Picture #5
The left bowl holds the seasonal items (winter). I got this and my next idea from www.michellewooderson.blogspot.com I love her blog and she has given me more inspiration that I can tell you. The right bowl holds items from whatever holiday is coming up (Valentine's Day). Behind that is a basket that hold my flat alpha stickers from companies like October Afternoon, Basic Grey, Studio Calico, Fancy Pants, Jillibean Soup, and Pebbles. The small milk glass dish holds some journal cards Ive made and am waiting to use. The bowl next to it holds DOILIES, I love doilies! There is another Ikea metal baset in the back that holds journal packs from various companies, Martha Stewart labels, a Grid book and some other things. Above these things is another Ikea rod holding less used punches.

Pictures #6 & #7
These two pictures are of my pegboard wall. Probably the best thing I did in this room. I am very visual. I need to see what I have or it gets forgotten. The first picture is of all of my Thickers, glitter, foam, chipboard, fabric, you name it! Also in this pic is my collection of baker's twine. The rest of the stuff the stuff in this pic and the next are just all the rest of my stuff that is hangable.

Picture #8
I have two of these wall racks, this one has my washi collection on it. I am still trying to come up with a better set up for the washi so I can see it and get to it better. Had it in bowls, needed to many and couldnt see them, had them on the actual rod that was on the shelf, but you cant get as much on them and you cant remove them without alot of work, bought the thread holder like I saw on pinterest, but the pegs are way too short and too close together so only two fit per peg, and they couldnt fit on every peg. So, if anyone has any ideas I would LOVE to hear them. Anyway, I also have my misters and other things on this.

Picture #9
This shelf holds my basket of stamps from Technique Tuesday, Hero Arts, Studio Calico, Ormalu, Kelly Purkey, Elle's Studio and Pink Paislee. In the little basket is my roller date stamp collection.

Picture # 10
Phewww! Last picture, this is directly behind where I stand to work. My two current Project Life kits, Seafoam and Olive.

In a previous post I showed you the 3 baskets I store my 6x6 paper packs in, as well as the 3 boxeds I use for my prepped sets. So, thats it, hope you enjoyed the tour and maybe even got some storage ideas. Come back again.

Project Life Week 4

Well, here we are week 4. This week was alot of running around and errands. I love this set from Crate Paper.

For this week I used Crate Paper On Trend. Oh my, it is a beautiful line. I used the paper, chipboard, phrase and border stickers, and alphas. I also used October Afternoon, Basic Grey, and Lily Bees alphas, Project Life journal cards, Studio Calico scrap pads (tan arrow), and Kelly Purkeys stamp set. Here is a close up of the left and right sides.

This week I have 1 insert. Steve and I got Megan tickets to see Jeff Dunham for Christmas. The insert is strictly that event. I love that I can include tickets and clothing tags with my pics, that is one of the things I love so much about Project Life! I have always been a saver of tags, labels, stickers, business cards, used gift cards, appt cards, you name it!

Project Life Journal Cards

While doing my traditional Pinterst surfing, I came across a pin from
www.journalofcuriousthings.co.uk/2013/01/journaling-card-tutorial.html and I felt reminicent of my older scrapbooking and new I had to give these a try. I didnt realize how much I missed the black marker bordering!

For those I used various grid designed papers from different lines, PL journal cards, Martha Stewart, Stampin Up! and Ali Edwards punches, various paper scraps I have, and washis.
For this next set they are just a bunch of cards I made from ideas seen on sites I follow, such as http://niebuhrchicks.blogspot.com/
http://michellewooderson.blogspot.com/ or other Pinterst sites.

For these cards I used washi, Studio Calico wood veneer stars, MME brad, Martha Stewart and Stampin Up! punches, Martha Steward doily, Thickers alpha, PL grid cards, various grid papers, and October Afternoon label and butterfly.

Project Life Week 2

I'm on a roll, I've completed week 2 already!. For this week I used another My Minds Eye line, not sure of the name, sorry. I've used some mini market letters, labels, and a tab from October Afternoon, a journal card from Elle's Studio, a couple journal cards, wood veneer stars, "look at this" stamp from "Monday" stamp from the Weekdays set, and chipboard alphas from Studio Calico, the tab punck from Ali Edwards, and I also used the "This is Fantastic" stamp from Technique Tuesday. I cut an exta Project Life page protector to make a couple "flip ups" for extra pics on the bottom of the right side.

This is the front side of my first insert. I used a Martha Stewart doily, Lily Bee abc letters, an October Afternnon label, a Stampin Up! rhinestone, "happiness" sticker from My Mind's Eye, and chipboard alphas from Studio Calico.

This is the back of the first insert and the front of the second. I will not show the back of the second, but it is my daughters schedule for the "Hello Dolly" play she is in for school. I used mini market alphas from October Afternoon andLily Bee's abc alphas.
